John took direct inspiration from the classic stippling found on Doc Taylor’s calls. Doc often left significant dates in stippled panels along with the owner's initials. He liked to make the carvings in the panels taper with the diamond panels. On this Doc tribute call, John Joes to use the Flying Duck, RNT, and RNT’s founding year, 1976.
The hand-painted lines on this small batch call mirror the rich reds, golds, and blacks of that iconic style, honoring Doc’s timeless craftsmanship. Finished with a red waxed cord for a rugged, classic touch.
