NEW VARIANT -- PRE-SALE: Ivory Bones - Mallards Duck Call
Due to overwhelming demand, we are opening up another chance to own our "Mallards" Bones Duck Call.
This alternate version features the same design in a new colorway. Rather than limiting the quantity, we are limiting the order window. This presale will be available now through May 1 at 12:00 a.m. CST at rntcalls.com.
Please note: this is a presale. Because of our production schedule and Callapalooza, orders will begin shipping in mid-summer.
We wanted to give everyone who missed the first opportunity a fair shot at getting one. The response to this design has been humbling, and we are grateful for the continued support.
The "Mallards" Bones Duck Call is built from ivory acrylic and finished with a brass band. The artwork features the State of Arkansas with the Flying Duck flag marking Stuttgart, Arkansas - the Duck Capital of the World. Custom artwork painted by Emily Hodges gives this release its own distinctive look and collector appeal.
Whether you are thinking about golf greens or greenheads, this one brings a sharp spring-inspired look to the lanyard.
Order your "Mallards" Bones Duck Call at rntcalls.com before the presale window closes on May 1.
“The Bones” was born from John's personal Jig, which he uses for his J. Stephens “Improved” model duck call, AKA the “Weirdo.”
“ I wanted to design a call that had the same signature 'crunch' of a Daisy Cutter, but wanted it to be freer and more aggressive. I also wanted it to work effortlessly on the bottom end, so that it was very easy to produce soft sounds. Where we hunt, we need volume, but we also need to be able to work them close in the buck brush, with soft clucks, quacks, and cadences. I started off with a tone board directly off my jig. I took it hunting the next day, then brought it back to the shop and tweaked it. This went on for several weeks until I got it where I wanted it. When asked about what the call sounded like, I first told someone it has that raspy crunch on top that I love in the call, but it also has a super sexy, seductive lower end. It’s like poison… “ - John Stephens.
